Multi-channel EPG
The multi-channel EPG (Electronic Programming Guide) is a menu based feature that helps users gather information about radio or television stations available. The information is continuously updated and displays the current program alongside a time stamp.
Prerequisite
In order to show items using Applicaster's Multi channel EPG you'll need to provide 2 types of feeds:
Channels - A single feed containing a list of all available channels that you would like to present in the EPG screen. Channel logos should be supplied in 4x3 format & preferably centered in their bounds. You should use a transparent 192x144 pixels png image.
Programs - A feed per channel that will hold the list of programs on that feed. Each program grid can open content, such as program show or player, that you implement in the feed.
Please read here how to implment EPG feeds.
Android, iOS, LG TV, Samsung TV, Apple TV, Android TV and Fire TV.
From the plugin gallery of your application version install the following plugin.
Once done, add the EPG screen to your layout and select the relevant feeds.
Design - You can modify the program grids, the background color, the indicator color and texts in the layout.
Localization - You can localize the "On Now" button and the days of the week under the Localization section.
- Rules - The timeline can be presented in a 24-hour format, with the option to select time slot intervals in minutes. In addition to the predefined intervals, there is an 'Other' option available for entering a custom number of minutes.
Please note that selecting the 24-hour format and the time slot is not supported on Roku yet.
